Bobrisky jailed six months with no option of fine

A Federal High Court in Lagos has sentenced controversial cross-dresser,  Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky,  to six months in jail with no option of a fine.

The presiding judge, Justice Abimbola Awogboro handed down the  judgement on Friday morning, in a suit of naira abuse brought against Bobrisky by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Bobrisky had upon his arraignment  pleaded guilty to the four-count charge but appealing to the judge to temper justice with mercy as he claimed ignorance of the law against naira abuse.

Bobrisky was arrested after he  sprayed money at the premiere of Ajakaju, a movie by actress and producer Eniola Ajao, at Film One Circle Mall, in the upmarket Lagos District of Lekki last month.
