The lawmaker representing Zaria Federal Constituency, Tajudeen Abbas, has been elected as the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Abbas was elected by members of the House on Tuesday.

He beat fellow contenders – Ahmed Wase and Sani Jaji, who polled three votes each.
