The All Progressives governorship candidate in 2023 election, Aisha Dahiru also known as Binani, has a withdrawn the suit she preferred against the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Binani had asked the court for a judicial review of the decision by the Independent National Electoral Commission to reverse her earlier announcement as winner of the election by the state’s Resident Electoral Commissioner.
But during Wednesday’s proceedings, her lawyer said a notice of discontinuance had been filed by the plaintiff. She prayed the court to strike out the suit.
Presiding judge Justice Inyang Ekwo then said he would make an order dismissing the matter.
