The media office of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, says he has submitted his duly completed nomination forms to the Independent National Electoral Commission two days ahead of the June 17 deadline.
A statement signed by Tinubu’s spokesman, Tunde Rahman, said,
“As stipulated by the electoral law and Independent National Electoral Commission guidelines and timetable, the standard bearer of the All Progressives Congress, HE Asíwájú Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has returned his duly completed nomination forms to INEC.

“The forms were returned on Wednesday June 15, two days ahead of schedule.
“We wish to reiterate that HE Asíwájú Tinubu stands ready to contest the February 25, 2023 presidential election to deliver progressive good governance to our people.”
The statement somewhat confirms the report that Tinubu who is still shopping and holding consultations to settle for a running mate, has picked katsina -born politician Alhaji Kabir Masari as a place holder. Masari, it was learnt, would later be replaced with the real running mate to Tinubu.
