Super Eagles Head coach Austin Eguavoen has resigned.
Eguavoen’s resignation follows the failure of Nigeria to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.
Ghana had in the World Cup playoffs stopped the Super Eagles from qualifying for the tournament holding in Qatar in 2023.

It was learned that Eguavoen had already sent an his resignation letter to the Nigerian Football Federation.
He however, will return to his role as Technical Director of all national teams.
