The Department of State Services has summoned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Gumi, according to reports.
It was learnt that he was invited for questioning over the comment he made on Arise TV that soldiers were aiding bandits.

According to the Hausa service of the Voice Of America, Gumi was summoned to the Kaduna office of the DSS.
But Gumi’s spokesman, Tukur Mamu, told the VOA, that his principal did not accuse the entire military.
He said Gumi merely said people as well as soldiers were saying there could be bad eggs in the military.
