Buhari’s Message To Tinubu? You Can’t Sit In Lagos And Decide Zoning In APC

President Muhammadu Buhari has said nobody can sit in Lagos and decide the issue of zoning for the presidential election in the All Progressives Congress.

Buhari who said it this during an interview with Arise Television which was aired on Thursday, is thought to have made the statement to pass a subliminal message to APC stalwart, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who believed to be interested in running for president in 2023.

“I told the acting chairman and a committee to give me the report by the end of the month on the convention they are going to conduct and then arrange general elections until 2023. And we started this from bottom to the up, so that members of the party will be sure they are involved in decision making.

“Nobody is just going to sit in Lagos and tell them what to do. This is what we are arranging,” he said.

Although Tinubu has not declared that he is interested in running in 2023, he has through the years been a major factor in shaping the direction and the decisions of the APC.
