As part of measures to stem the tide of security breakdown in Nigeria, the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, has ordered that the issuance of police permits to owners of vehicles with tinted glass nationwide be put on hold.
He also directed the suspension of issuance of spy number plates.

The directives were given by the IGP at the Nigeria Police Force headquarters in Abuja on Monday.
