Gunmen on Saturday razed Atta Divisional Police Headquarters in the Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State.
They also went ahead to set ablaze a Magistrate’s Court and a High Court at Atta.
The health centre in the community was also vandalised.
It was learnt that the burning of the facilities took place between between 1 and 2am.
A former president-general of the community, John Agbaso, told The PUNCH: “I was the one who built the police station and the magistrate court and mobilised youths under the auspices of Transformations Ambassadors of Atta Nwambieri to build the high court. I did this so that our people will have access to government facilities. This latest incident is coming a week after they razed the house of our president general and killed his wife. The government should come to our rescue.”
