Following the Monday clash between policemen and commercial motorcyclists at Ile-Epo market, it appears the police are keeping vigil to prevent a recurrence.
The clash had on Monday led to the death of one of the okada riders.
When a TheseTimes correspondent visited the place today, he saw an RRS truck stationed within the Ile-Epo and armed policemen who seemed to be on standby even though normalcy had returned.
It was learnt that the clash escalated when the police shot an okada rider who refused to drop a passenger as ordered by one of the thugs usually used by the police to extort money from commercial motorcyclists in the area.
