Sarkin Pawwan Katsina, (district head of Kankara), Alhaji Yusuf Lawal has been dismissed by the Katsina Emirate Council for allegedly aiding and abetting banditry in the area.
The council had first suspended Lawal in April but he had to be dismissed after it received a letter from the state government which reportedly indicted him also.

The PUNCH said the Emirate spokesman ( Sarkin Labarai) Alhaji Ibrahim Bindawa confirmed the development to it.
“The Emirate dismissed him(Lawal) yesterday (Friday) after a letter was received from the state government which also indicted him of allegations levelled against him which led to his initial suspension,” he said.
