The Senate has on Wednesday announced a one-week suspension of plenary.
The upper legislative chamber took this decision to enable its members to participate in the zonal public hearing on the Review of the 1999 Constitution. across the country.
The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, who announced this, urged Nigerians to be part of the exercise while adding that the National Assembly had no pre-conceived agenda
The exercise will hold in 12 centres across the country on 26 and 27th May 27.
“We shall be devoting the entire week to the constitution review exercise,” Lawan said.
