24 hours after a failed robbery attempt on the residence of the Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari in Aso Rock, President Muhammadu Buhari is meeting with the service chiefs.
The meeting was announced by the presidency via its Twitter handle. Although the details of the agenda are not disclosed, there is every reason to discuss the incident at Gambari’s house.
The meeting is also expected to review the current security situation in the country.

Present at the meeting are Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha; the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari; and the National Security Adviser, Major-General Babagana Monguno.
Others are the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyema; Minister of Defense, Major-General Bashir Salihi Magashi (Retd.) and Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
There have been similar security meetings recently.
