At least 10 women lost their lives while others suffered severe injuries as a truck fell inside market in Imo State.
The truck, it was learnt had failed brakes and hit women who were traders in the market located in Nkwommiri in the Nwangele Local Government Area of the state..
The PUNCH reports that a youth leader, Adolphus had told its correspondent that some of the victims were crushed into a nearby river.
He said, “The worst has happened here. A truck that lost its brakes has killed women trading on the road at Nkwommir.”
A community leader, Frank Ozuruigbo, told The PUNCH that efforts were being made to rescue those trapped.
