A yet to be revealed number of students of the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi have been kidnapped by suspected gunmen.
A statement by the university confirmed this.
The university’s Director of Information, Protocol and Public Relations Unit (IPPR), Mrs Rosemary Waku who issued the statement, said: “The University has reported the incident to the police and all relevant security agencies.

“The University has not heard anything from the students or their captors since the unfortunate incidence took place.”
The police in the state also says a full-scale investigation of the case has been ordered by the state police commissioner.
