Parts of the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Kano, were burnt.
It was learnt that fire raged around 9:30 am at the Data Processing Centre of of the office. Items like computers were burnt in the fire.

The fire was however contained through the combined efforts of the federal and state fire services.
