At least five persons were killed on Sunday as a commercial Toyota Hiace bus plunged into a river along Akure-Ondo Expressway, Ondo.
Several other persons also sustained injuries in the crash involving the bus. The bus which was coming from Lagos was heading towards Akure, the Ondo State capital. The driver was said to have lost control of the vehicle, and this caused the vehicle to swerve of the road and fall off the bridge into the river.
