Court Convicts Actress Over Nude Photshoot With 7-Year-Old-Son

Ghanaian actress, Rosemond Brown popularly known Akuapem Poloo has been convicted by an Accra Circuit Court for doing a nude photoshoot with her seven-year-old son.

Poloo was much castigated when in June 2020, she shared a nude photo of herself with her son on her Instagram handle. In the picture, she was  squatting naked while  holding the hand of her son who was dressed in his underwear.

She had initially defended her action saying ““I was not completely naked. He did not see my organs because I covered myself with a cloth and applied sellotapes to the necessary parts. Besides, the picture was taken in my own house.” But she later made a public apology for the error.

Poloo who was  arraigned on three counts of publication of obscene materials, engaging in domestic violence, conduct that in any way undermines another person’s privacy or integrity, and engaging in domestic violence, amongst others, first pleaded  “not guilty” when she was first arraigned, but  later changed her plea to “guilty” when she was  re-arraigned on April 14.

Her sentencing has been deferred to April 16.
