Like their counterparts in the southwest, the governors of the south-east states have launched their own security outfit.
The governors took the decision to lauch the security outfit codenamed “EBUBEAGU” during meeting on Sunday which involved different stakeholders.
The governors of Anambra, Abia, Ebonyi, Imo and Enugu states, Navy and Air Force Commanders, the Inspector-General of Police, Ohanaeze Ndigbo and others were present at the meeting.

The region in the past few days has witnessed increased attacks by bandits leading to loss of lives and destruction of public assets and private possessions.
