The traditional ruler of Umueze Nguru in the Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of the state, Eze Charles Iroegbu and some of his cabinet chiefs have been kidnapped.
The monarch, who owns All States Mass Transit, and the chiefs were kidnapped on their way from the venue of a traditional wedding in Mbano.

The victims who were travelling in three vehicles were waylaid by gunmen who diverted their movement.
