The Inspector-General of Police, Adamu Muhammed, on Tuesday has told police personnel to use their rifles against the members of the Indigenous People of Biafra whom he holds responsible for the prison break in Imo and the attack on the police headquarters in the state.
Muhammed said this during his visit to the Imo State Police Command to inspect the extent of damage.

The IGP through had on Monday through a statement signed by Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, said, “Preliminary investigations have revealed that the attackers, who came in their numbers with sophisticated weapons such as General Purpose Machine Guns (GPMGs), Sub-Machine Guns (SMGs), AK49 rifles, Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPGs), Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), are members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)/Eastern Security Network (ESN).”
