Gunmen have again attacked another police station in Imo State. This time, it was the Ehime Mbano Local Government Area Divisional Police Headquarters in the state. The gunmen burnt the police station.
This happened a day after unknown gunmen attacked the Owerri Correctional Centre where they set free at least 1,800 inmates, and the Imo State Police Command headquarters.

The immediate past Inspector General of Police, Muhammadu Adamu who was just removed by President Buhari had claimed that the attacks on the prison and the police headquarters were carried out by the Indigenous People of Biafra, an allegation which the group denied.
