Soludo: Five Suspects Now In Police Custody

The police in Anambra State now have five suspects arrested in connection with the attack on ex- Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof Charles Soludo.

The police first nabbed one of the suspects after he was tracked through a telephone discovered at the scene of crime.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Ikenga Tochukwu, gave the update.

“Police operatives attached to Anambra State Command today 1st April, 2021 have arrested four additional suspects in connection to the recent attack and gruesome murder of three policemen at Isuofia Civic Center in Aguata LGA of Anambra State.

“The suspects are: Mbah Victor,30, John Olisakwe , 21,Chigozie Omeh, 20,and Emmanuel Nnobi, 28.

“The suspects confessed to have actively taken part in the attack and subsequent abduction of the Commissioner for Public and Utilities, Emeka Ezenwanne, which the Command is working assiduously to rescue.

“Consequently efforts is still on going to apprehend other fleeing accomplices, unravel the circumstances surrounding the incidence and bring perpetrators book.”
