Supected bandits have stormed the camp of the Joint Security Task Force, at Allawa, Niger State killing an unspecified number of soldiers.
The camp is used by the Army, the Police, the Civil Defence and Vigilantes.
The attack was one of those carried out by bandits at Allawa and other communities in the area. The attacks took place on Wednesday evening and in the early hours of Thursday.

An officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) was said to have also been killed in the attack.
Many other security personnel sustained injuries.
The bandits were said to have abducted more than 10 persons. They made away with seven motorcycles. They also burnt down military vehicles.
Besides Allawa, other comunities attacked were Manta, Gurmana, Bassa and Kokki in Shiroro council.
